I just gained even more respect for him. (Although… he’s incredibly, horribly self-deprecating.)
today’s mail: Smoke Signal #5 from Desert Island. Newsprint comics anthology feat. Benjamin Marra, Michael DeForge, Michael Kupperman, Lisa Hanawalt and many others. Diamond Comics and Smoke Signal on the real, formin’ like voltron with this East/West coast comix takeover.
I also got a copy of this yesterday… I finally got back up to Desert Island (which is a wonderful store). I also got Issue 4.
They’re all free! You can read the first and second issues online at their website (just google Desert Island) and get the others for the price of shipping. Or you can just go out to Williamsburg.
